Mortensen.Farm originated in 1920, when Philip Mortensen, son of Danish immigrants, purchased a home and farmland in Audubon County, Iowa. Since then, 4 generations of Mortensens have lived and farmed on the property. Over the years, the farm has grown corn, oats, clover, and soybeans, and raised cattle, pigs, and chickens. In 2026, Eric Mortensen, great grandson of Philip, established Mortensen.Farm to raise vegetables for local markets. Eric takes pride in raising nutritious produce on the family farm using regenerative and organic farming methods.
Eric hopes to soon add chickens and offer eggs for sale. Fruit trees have been planted, and we plan to offer fruit from these trees in the coming years.
Find our products at farmers markets in Audubon, Harlan, and Atlantic, Iowa, or contact Eric directly for on-farm pickup.
